Con Slobodchikoff has been doing abstract photographs for a number of years. He first started photgraphing abstract patterns in nature, and won Natural History Magazine's Grand Prize in 1980 for an abstract photograph of a yucca plant partially immersed in a white sand dune. In recent times, he has been using Photoshop to create abstract images based on photographs taken in nature.
